Nova Scotia swings into Biggar tonight (Saturday)

The Nova Scotia Jazz Band is coming to Biggar this Saturday, November 14, to present a concert of uplifting and swinging Dixieland jazz guaranteed to leave the audience smiling.

This Scottish jazz band is firmly in the tradition of the swinging Dixieland groups led by Eddie Condon, Alex Walsh and Muggsy Spanier.

Featuring the world class trumpet of Colin Steele, the banjo and guitar wizardry of Ross Milligan, the genuinely swinging string bass of Andy Sharkey and the clarinet and saxophones and vocals of John Burgess, the NSJB offers a fresh take on the classic jazz style.
